Meet our candidates: David Tillery, Aughton and Swallownest

“I have lived in the area all my life, and previously always a Labour Party voter due to coming from a coal mining family. However after seeing the shocking treatment of Jeremy Corbyn by the Parliamentary Labour Party and subsequently the Labour Party’s general lack of credible opposition to the Conservative Party, I was almost ready to give up on politics all together, because I felt that there were no longer any political parties that represented the working class people of Britain.

Then I read the Workers Party of Britain’s 10 point programme, and found I agreed with it entirely.

The entire political structure in Britain needs a complete overhaul, it needs a party ran by the people for the people, it needs a party that offers real socialist solutions to a corrupt and broken system, I believe that the Workers Party of Britain is the only party to offer this.

All my life I have stood against the privatisation of public services, essential services such as utilities and public transport must be owned by the people of Britain; How can water be privately owned and sold for profit?

If I am elected I will do everything in my power to help the poor and working class people of Aughton and Swallownest who have been constantly ignored and let down by their previous representatives.”
