Meet our candidates: Daniel O’Brien, Ealing Broadway

“Throughout my whole life I have seen – and experienced – life getting worse for ordinary working people.

Groceries, transport, rent, bills, and all the necessities of life have increased in price while wages remain stagnant, and that’s if you’re lucky enough to find a job.

We’re expected to have a degree for many of the better paying jobs, but the cost has more than tripled in less than a generation too.

I’ve never felt like my vote has made a difference, the same things happen under Labour, Tory, or Lib Dem leadership. All the mainstream political parties promise everything under the sun while selling everything off.

Even the councils are in on it, green-lighting unpopular building development projects, privatising our services, and enforcing low-traffic neighbourhoods that make life a misery for residents and get in the way of our emergency services.

The Workers Party is different, it offers a chance for people like you and me to get our voices heard. It’s a real opportunity to change the tweedledee and tweedledum nature of British politics.”
