The Workers Party of Britain is appealing to its members, affiliates, supporters and friends to lend financial support as we look to appoint a paid organiser.
In less than a year since our founding, the Workers Party of Britain has gathered together more than 4,000 members, affiliates and supporters, establishing branches in more than 56 towns, cities and villages across Britain. From Penzance to Perth, we are beginning the long and steady process of bringing together groups of workers ready to commit to building up a real party of the working class.
Our growth is unparalleled and a testament to the hard work of our volunteers and supporters.
Juggling work and family life with political commitments is no mean task. With so many branches and so many possibilities, we are big enough now that it has become vital we establish a paid staff to develop our work. To make this a reality, we need the financial support of all who want to see us succeed.
Please give generously to our appeal, every penny will be spent on finding paid staff to carry our work to a higher level. Our subscription rate is kept purposely low so as not to bar any person from taking part in the work through lack of money, but that makes additional financial contributions even more important.
We want to pay the living wage, around £9.50 an hour, the rough equivalent of £17,000 p/a for a worker outside of London. With your support we can make it happen.
