Online meeting with Q&A: Labour antisemitism – a tale of capitulation
30 June @ 8:00 pm-9:30 pm
Tune in to our livestream on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter for a weekly public meeting. This week, following the sacking of Rebecca Long-Bailey from the Labour shadow cabinet, we’ll be looking at how allegations of antisemitism have been weaponised to purge Labour of its left wing.
What is antisemitism? Why is it portrayed as being such a problem for the Labour party in particular? How did it come about that the Jewish Board of Deputies now has the right to decide Labour party policy? Does criticism of Israel constitute antisemitism? Does the campaign against alleged antisemites help or hinder the cause of fighting racism in all its forms?
George Galloway will address the meeting, and members of the Workers Party will be able to log in and make contributions or ask questions via zoom.
