Congress reaffirms the commitment of the Party to a radical economic development programme. We commit to a programme of national industrial renewal and modernisation in order to develop our country to meet the standards set by the world’s most advanced economies.
The Workers Party believes in the economic and social urgency of such a programme of national rejuvenation: the reinvigoration of Britain’s energy infrastructure, her agricultural, industrial, and technical development, as well as vocational education.
In line with this, Congress instructs the National Members Council to schedule discussions on questions concerning economic development, principally the organisation of production, distribution, and exchange with the aim of drawing up new lines of agitation in these areas. Published guides, notes and advice to be provided to branches and our candidates for election, in a transparent and non-sensitive format for the benefit of all our members, supporters, and the public at large.
This motion seems intrinsically linked to Motion 7 – friends of China. Specifically how much GB copies China’s SEZ (Special Economic Zones) to boost manufacturing and industry (the way they moved it away from our shores), instead of useless “Freeport” strategies to plug NET ZERO objectives.

Well thought out and written, I agree.
We must educate, train and employ the working classes in Britain. We must offer hope for the future not in wild pipe dreams but in good solid policy that puts our working class at the forefront. Eco industry must be seen as job opportunity for our people and not punitive establishment/middle class taxes on the worker. Our infrastructure and utilities must be renationalised otherwise what is democracy worth to a people. If people want any less they have the Labour, Lib Dem’s and the Greens they can turn to.
