Conference

The Workers Party organises day conferences open to all members. These conferences allow for discussion of key ideas, development of party policy and they are a chance for members from around the country to meet up.

We plan to hold three or four day conferences a year. A full list of the Conferences and the discussion can be found at the links below.

Who?

The Conferences are open to all members of the Workers Party. We will, from time to time also invite friends and guests to participate or speak, but the conferences are designed with our membership in mind.

What?

Our Conferences are our opportunity to take some time in our busy campaigning schedule to discuss the direction of the party, to share ideas and get clarity on important topics.

Where?

We hold our Conferences in Moseley, Birmingham. Free parking is available on site, and the Club is reached easily from Birmingham city centre by catching the Number 50 bus from near to New Street Railway Station taking 15 minutes.

Moseley is a popular suburb of Birmingham that really developed after the late Victorian period. It is home to plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants, with parkland and green, tree-lined streets. There’s supermarkets for sandwiches and a railway station is being re-established.

When?

We aim to hold at least three conferences a year, in the Spring, Summer and Autumn. The day starts with registration at 10.30am. From 11.00am speakers and members are engaged in discussion, with regular breaks until 6pm. In the evening we socialise, sometimes with a buffet, and those needing accommodation are looked after locally.
